There is a serious flaw in the process to be followed in connection with the Mayor's idea of building a big rink on the waterfront.
CAO Meunier outlined this process at the Williamsville District meeting September 28 held to protest the proposed elimination of the Memorial Centre and grounds as part of the Mayor’s idea.
CAO Meunier said that the decision of whether to proceed with the Mayor's idea would rest on the results of a number of feasibility studies of such things as finance, parking and the environment.
No mention was made of attempting to measure the public view of the desirability of the idea.
Why spend a great deal of taxpayers' money on a project manager and feasibility studies if citizens think the basic idea is flawed?
Just because it is possible to do something doesn't mean it should be done!
